About

Engineer Ectypes are specialized in performing repairs/maintenance and enhancing the utilities on board the ship. The Engineer should be mindful of the tactics the crew is using and pay attention to the situation. Sometimes, certain defects may not need to be fixed, or circuit breakers may not need to be reset. If in doubt, ask your teammates. When time and the situation allow, the Engineer should maintain a weapon module and act as a second Gunner. The Engineer's perks also provide useful boosts for EVA. The Engineer should also assist the Pilot in plotting the escape vector. This is particularly useful if you are interdicted, as the Engineer can plot the vector while the Pilot pulls the lever to interrupt the interdiction.
