This is a community-written page for anyone with a game tip to share. Write them here to help other players on Void Crew.

This page regroups every prescriptive and subjective information (i.e. suggesting how to play the game). Its main purpose is to unclog the accumulated information from the actual wiki pages, where the descriptive content is and must stay on.

Objectives

[Community Update 2.0]

Raid: This Objective type is Not Recommended for Solo Pilots if you're unlucky Cruisers will spawn in relatively fast which are a pain in the ass to deal with solo. While you can finish it Solo you need to basically be perfectly fast to not take lots of damage. Use the Scavenger Gen tree this way you can finish way faster.

Fly to the marked Facility approach from left or Right not from the front. This way you don't need to destroy the defense Turrets and they may aid you in the future.

Note: Just sit on top of the Turret it will have no Fire vector on you. Orient your Scoop towards the door this way you only need to throw the Items in it's direction which is way faster than the alternative.

Go through the airlock repair the power boxes. These can be either in the near vicinity of the door, under the Main Platform, on the side of the main Platform or on the little structure with the console. The light in the little Structure will turn on then you Enter it and activate the console , then the doors will open.

Inside there will be Chests you can open to get the Data Shards or other items.

After collecting everything and uploading the data Shards. Set Exit Vector and Jump away.

Download: Orient your Ship so that Collected Items can be easily thrown into the Scoop there are two main things to keep in mind.

1.Turn Off the scoop before approaching so that the Outside Crew can get the Items required to Power on the Facility. Alternatively you can also scoop them quickly and then turn it off so that the needed Items are in the scoop and can be taken out.

Note: In my Experience number 1 is always faster.

2.After powering it on and activating the console repair all damages it vastly improves the upload rate.

If you want and have enough oxygen you can use the Turret of the facility it is often found, after powering on the facility when you open a door. sometimes a repair point is inside the same structure the Turret can be controlled from.

Ambush: Fly to the NavSat and orient your scoop towards the entry of the NavSat, Repair The NavSat find the power boxes these can be on top of the door, Inside, and in the near vicinity of the Middle Ring (just fly around it on the inner site).

There will be a blinking Light inside the structure you need to activate to power on the structure. There are often Chests with Items inside the NavSat. Once you Power on the NavSat there will be Electricity arcs that will damage you if you touch them. Till now I don't know if you can dodge them completely.

A Countdown will start shortly after the Countdown ended Ships will jump in it is recommended you destroy them Quickly before your Main target arrives. Once The Freighter Jump in quickly destroy the Satellite Dish and then concentrate on the weak Points (Fuel Tanks). After that you're clear to jump to the Next Objective.

Cleanse: Cleanse is pretty easy and straightforward find your target quickly take it out and that's it.

Protect: Protect is also pretty easy just prioritize High Damage Enemies like the Bomber and it will be fine.

Strike the Hollow: Prioritize The reinforcement Callers then the Invulnerability Nodes (Or Shield Nodes depending on the Situation) always shot the Weak points.Glowing Red, or Glowing Violet.

Strike: Approach each one, so that you have the best shooting angles on the satellite Dishes take them out first than concentrate on the weak points, on higher difficulties it might make sense to destroy certain Weapons First.

Solo

If playing Solo there are a few things to be mindful about:

Change your Class (Ectype) to an appropriate Class in most Cases you want to be Gunner Generalist.

Play with the Lone Sentry Ship till you unlock a Load out you personally can handle better. My personal favorite is the Energy Boat you get a lot of range start with a shield and have enough Power for all Systems you need.

If you play Solo it's all about efficiency collect only the things you really need. Use Thruster Booster only when you really need them etc.

Other

General: You don't need to collect everything the Bonus Points for extra resources are minuscule at least on the lower difficulties. If your Ship is already upgrades and well Equipped its just a waste of time.

Let Higher Level Players engrave the can get way better upgrades especially for the Energy Generator

Less Chaos determine one dedicated Pilot, Engineer, Gunner, The Other Players do what is appropriate right now this way there is less Chaos. Do this in the Hub as only one Gen Archetype can be active, reset your points and attribute them new if needed

Use the Chat for Orders (Press Enter): Charge Void Drive,Sit Down,Attack ,Scoop off, Scoop on, Repair in most cases Pilots will issue orders as they have the best overview

Use Private Lobbies if you want to play Private

Set The Player Limit on the Multiplayer console in the Hub.

Recycle everything you don't need (Ammunition for Weapons you don't plan on having even repair kits as you get the same amount as they cost)

Upgrade Power Generators First if you don't have a dedicated Engineer

You can go over the Power limit as long as one Player always resets the Circuit Breaker don't go over it too far though (1-3 is mostly no problem)

Always shoot on the weak points these are mostly glowing red or violet.
